FAQ - FOR THE RECIPIENT
Q. HOW DO I CHOOSE AN EGG DONOR?
A. Contact us so that we can send you the profiles of the
donors you select online. We shall mail you 1 – 10 profiles
by regular mail, or express mail if requested.
Q. WILL I MEET THE DONOR?
A. It depends on the donor. Some are open to the idea of
meeting their recipient and some would prefer to remain
anonymous. Choosing a donor involves both parties and
confidentiality is absolutely rigorous and never violated
under any circumstances.
Q. WHO CAN BE A RECIPIENT?
A. Generally, the woman is below 55 years with a medical or
genetic indication for using an egg donor. Your doctor can
advise you on this fully and if a male factor is
responsible, it is possible as well using ICSI.
Q. WILL THE EGGS PRODUCED BY MY DONOR
BE SPLIT BETWEEN ANOTHER RECIPIENT AND MYSELF?
A. All the eggs retrieved from your selected donor are only
for your use.
Q. WHO ARE THE EGG DONORS?
A. All the egg donors are young, pleasant looking, educated
and most have a history of pregnancy. You can view them
online. Please
contact us.
Q. WHAT CAN IVIMED DO FOR ME?
A. Ivimed will guide you from start to finish, being a
steady presence by your side every step of the way. Once you
have made your donor selection, we will coordinate
everything for you, making sure that your donor is fully
aware of what is expected of her. We handle everything from
coordinating medical appointments for your donor, acting as
a third party between your doctor and the egg donor’s doctor
and arranging travel. We shall keep you informed through
telephone call or email.
