INFORMATION FOR EGG RECIPIENTS
We are here to help you search for an egg donor to assist
in conceiving your child.
Our experienced team of professionals will work with you to
locate an egg donor that specifically meets your personal
requirements. We provide you with the confidentiality that
both you and a donor may wish for by serving as an
intermediary yet ensure you have enough information about
our donors to be comfortable with your choice.
STEP BY STEP PROCESS FOR RECIPIENT
Phase 1: Beginning the process

If you are working online to locate a donor, register with
us at the Contact Us menu, fill in the requested fields
and press submit.
Phase 2: Selection Process
- When you have decided on a donor, we shall send you
a contract and discuss your specific cycle requirements
as to the location of your doctor, location of your
donor, necessary screening requirements, potential cycle
dates as determined by your doctor and yourself.
- Return the signed contract and the deposit. The
deposit is placed in an escrow account for your cycle
and it consists of 50% of the ivimed agency fee and 50%
of the donor’s fee. Our panel of attorneys can assist
you in the drafting or reviewing of the contracts.
Phase 3: Psychological Testing
- We commence donor screening according to the
protocol and orders established by your doctor’s
office.
- We shall send the psychological clearance letter
to the doctor.
- At this point, you will be invoiced for the
balance of all cycle expenses.
Phase 4: Administrative and Legal
Processes
- Before the doctor administers medication on the
donor, all legal clearance documentation shall be
completed.
- The balance of the ivimed fees and the donor’s
fees shall be paid.
- We shall request an expense account be set up
for the expenses of the donor, to be paid as when
necessary.
Phase 5: Medical Procedure
- We shall liaise with the doctor when the
psychological clearance report and the legal
documents have been signed.
- The doctor will commence her cycle,
synchronizing the cycles using a series of
medications to facilitate a hospitable uterine
environment for transfer of embryos.
- All viable eggs produced in a single donor
cycle are inseminated and all embryos belong to
the recipient parent. If there are embryos in
excess of the number for safe transfer,
cryopreservation of additional embryos is made.
Phase 6: Post Egg Retrieval
- The recipient will be blood tested for
pregnancy.
- She will be having hormonal treatment to
maintain her pregnancy.
- After the donor’s eggs been retrieved,
ivimed compensates the donor for her time,
discomfort and commitment and also a gift for
her.
