SURROGACY PROGRAM

There are 2 types of surrogacy:

TRADITIONAL SURROGACY

When the surrogate’s own eggs are fertilized by the sperm of the intended father via insemination at the fertility clinic and will carried to term by the traditional surrogate.

The baby and any babies that will be created via traditional surrogacy will have a biological link to the surrogate and to the intended father.

There are variations to this, which are traditional surrogacy achieved via IVF (in vitro fertilization), home insemination or intrauterine inseminations (IUI)

GESTATIONAL SURROGACY

IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) is done via a 4-step process involving the carrier (the surrogate), intended mother, intended father and also the doctor and staff of the IVF clinic.

Step one, the intended mother or egg donor will take medications to stimulate her ovaries which produces multiple eggs. Step two involves retrieving the eggs from the ovaries. Once the eggs have been retrieved, step three is the fertilization of the eggs and culture of the embryos in the IVF clinic.

When the eggs are fertilized, the last step is the placing of the embryos into the uterus of the surrogate for implantation.

The baby and any babies that will be created via gestational surrogacy will not have any biological link to the surrogate.

All our surrogates have the following requirements:

  • Ages between 21 – 35 years
  • Good health
  • Non-smoker and non-drug user
  • A matured and responsible personality and character
  • Committed to the surrogacy process

Additional costs such as medical screening through your clinic, medication and other medical services are not included in this estimate. Please contact your clinic for an estimate of these costs. All fees quoted are in United States dollars.
